The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) is seeking applications from interested members of the community to join its Community Advisory Committee.
The Community Advisory Committee operates as a Committee of the Peter Mac Board of Directors. The eleven (11) members advise the Board on how to improve and promote participation by consumers and community members in the planning, delivery and evaluation of cancer care and services at Peter Mac.
In order for Peter Mac to ensure that the Community Advisory Committee is representative of Victoria’s diverse community Peter Mac is seeking to appoint Community Advisory Committee members who –
• Are able to reflect the needs and interests of a broad range of consumers and communities.
• Have an understanding of the experiences of consumers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those with disabilities or Aboriginal people using health services.
• Are interested in working collaboratively with other Community Advisory Committee members and Peter Mac staff to improve the quality and accessibility of Peter Mac’s services.
