COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEES
Health Issues Centre’s is funded by the Victorian Department of Health to support the development of Community Advisory Committee (CACs) in 14 Metropolitan Health Services and six regional health services. As part of this project, Health Issues Centre delivers a number of strategies for CAC support staff which include Resources Officers, Executive Managers, CAC chairs and CAC consumer members.
Resource Officers' Network
This Network meets six times a year and provides Resource Officers with a forum for networking, problem solving, and discussion.
Resources
To assist both Community Advisory Committee members and Community Advisory Committee support staff the Health Issues Centre has compiled a resource kit which contains a number of document, tools and templates, some of which have been developed by health services. These resources have been made available by health services to avoid duplication.

CAC Resources officers on line group
Community Advisory Committees
Health Issues Centre provides one on one support to individual Community Advisory Committees. This includes training, resources and orientation programs for new CAC members. HIC also delivers a biannual CAC conference for CAC consumers and staff.
